Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 6, 2026
Sáng Fortune Company is a project by Cassandra Orion, an independent artist based in US and Vietnam. I make fortune-telling machines and sell them at sanglabs.co. In this policy, "we" and "us" mean me. This policy explains what we collect, why, and who else sees it. Questions: hello@sanglabs.co.
What we collect
When you order: your name, email, shipping address, phone number if you give it, and what you bought. Payments are handled by Squarespace and Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
When you join the newsletter: your email address.
When you visit the site: Squarespace collects basic analytics, like pages viewed, the site that sent you and your rough location. It uses cookies to do this.
When you use your fortune teller: the questions you ask out loud. Details are in the next section.
From your device: a device ID and how many fortunes it has used, so we know when your fortunes run out.
How your questions work
The microphone only listens while you press the button. When you ask a question:
The device securely relays your question through our private cloud service.
The recording is converted to text using Whisper (by OpenAI).
That text is sent to Claude (by Anthropic), who writes your fortune.
The fortune is sent back to your device and printed on thermal paper.
Nothing is saved. Your voice recording and fortune are processed in real time and discarded.
We don't save your recording, your question or your fortune once it prints. We don't listen to or read them. OpenAI and Anthropic may keep them for a short time to monitor for misuse, and they don't use them to train their AI. See OpenAI's privacy policy and Anthropic's privacy policy.
Your wifi name and password stay on your device. They aren't sent to us.
Your fortune teller is for entertainment. Please don't ask it questions that include sensitive details like health information, passwords or account numbers.
Who we share information with
We only share what each service needs to do its job:
Squarespace: runs our website, store and newsletter.
Stripe: processes payments.
Shipping: our US fulfillment partner and the carrier that delivers your order get your name and address
OpenAI and Anthropic: turn your question into a fortune, as described above.
We don't sell your information, and we don't share it for advertising.
